Professional review
The platform conducts a preliminary review of professional information but does not guarantee professional capability, practising qualifications, service quality, or the continuing accuracy of every profile. Information is updated regularly but may be delayed.
User responsibility
Users independently select professionals and evaluate qualifications, experience, availability, service quality, and fees. Communication, agreements, fees, and service arrangements are negotiated directly between users and professionals.
Scope of responsibility
Lex Galaxy is not responsible for consequences, loss, service effectiveness, communication quality, fee disputes, or legal outcomes arising from services provided by professionals or matters handled by users and professionals.
Important reminder: Choose legal services carefully and understand the professional's qualifications, experience, fee standards, and applicable local rules before proceeding. Use of the platform indicates that these boundaries are understood.
Expert Agreement
Lex Galaxy Expert Network Agreement
Version 1.0. This Agreement governs participation in the Lex Galaxy professional network. By submitting an application or accepting continued participation, the professional agrees to these terms.
1. Purpose and flexible participation
Lex Galaxy operates a platform that displays professional profiles and helps connect clients with legal professionals across jurisdictions. Participation is non-exclusive. The professional is not required to accept any introduction, matter, minimum volume of work, or continuing commitment.
2. Application and profile information
The professional confirms that all information submitted to Lex Galaxy, including identity, qualifications, practising status, experience, languages, jurisdictions, photographs, and contact details, is accurate and not misleading. The professional will notify Lex Galaxy within a reasonable time if material information changes.
Lex Galaxy may verify submitted information and edit its format, length, or translation for consistent presentation without materially changing its meaning. Publication remains subject to platform review.
3. Profile publication
The professional authorises Lex Galaxy to display the profile information selected for publication on its website and related Lex Galaxy channels for professional networking and matching. The professional retains ownership of supplied materials and grants Lex Galaxy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use those materials for these purposes while the profile remains active.
The professional may request correction, replacement, or removal of published information at any time. Lex Galaxy will process a reasonable request within a reasonable period, subject to legal and record-keeping requirements.
4. Independent professional status
The professional acts independently. This Agreement does not create employment, partnership, agency, joint venture, or an exclusive relationship between the professional and Lex Galaxy. A listing or introduction does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee by Lex Galaxy.
The professional remains responsible for maintaining any licence, registration, insurance, authorisation, or continuing professional obligation required in the relevant jurisdiction.
5. Introductions and client engagements
Lex Galaxy may suggest a professional to a client or facilitate initial communication. Neither party is required to proceed with a proposed connection.
Before accepting a matter, the professional is responsible for checking conflicts, competence, capacity, client identity, applicable sanctions, and other professional or regulatory requirements. Any legal engagement is entered into directly between the professional and the client under terms agreed by them. The professional controls the legal work and remains responsible for advice, deadlines, fees, client funds, confidentiality, and service quality.
6. Commercial arrangements
Where applicable, any commercial arrangements relating to the platform’s support will be agreed separately in writing before a connection proceeds. No commercial arrangement applies unless the professional has expressly accepted it. Each party remains responsible for its own taxes and regulatory obligations.
No arrangement may require conduct prohibited by the professional rules of the professional’s jurisdiction. The parties may adjust or discontinue an arrangement where needed to comply with those rules.
7. Professional conduct and confidentiality
The professional will communicate honestly, avoid misleading claims, protect confidential information, and comply with applicable law and professional rules. Information received through Lex Galaxy may be used only to assess or carry out the relevant connection and must not be disclosed without authority or a lawful basis.
Lex Galaxy provides matching, information, translation, and coordination support. It does not direct legal judgment, provide legal advice through the professional, or become a party to the professional’s engagement with a client.
8. Platform review and ending participation
Either party may end participation in the network at any time by written notice. Lex Galaxy may pause, edit, or remove a profile where information cannot be verified, becomes inaccurate, or presents a legal, professional, security, or reputational concern. Where appropriate, Lex Galaxy will give the professional notice and a reasonable opportunity to clarify or correct the issue.
Ending participation does not affect a client engagement already entered into or a separate commercial arrangement already accepted, unless the relevant parties agree otherwise. Confidentiality, data handling, ownership, and accrued obligations continue after termination where required by their nature.
9. Personal information
Lex Galaxy processes personal information for application review, verification, profile publication, matching, communication, security, and legal compliance. Further information concerning data categories, retention periods, recipients, cross-border transfers, and individual rights is contained in the Privacy Policy.
Where separate consent is legally required for public disclosure, sensitive information, or cross-border transfer, Lex Galaxy will request that consent separately. The professional may contact Lex Galaxy to exercise applicable rights of access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent.
10. Changes to this Agreement
Lex Galaxy may update this Agreement to reflect changes in the platform, law, or professional requirements. Material changes will be notified before they take effect. If the professional does not accept a material change, the professional may end participation and request removal of the profile.
11. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, excluding the laws of Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and Taiwan.
12. Language and acceptance
The Chinese and English versions are provided for accessibility. If the versions differ, the Chinese version prevails. Electronic acceptance, including checking the acceptance box and submitting an application, has the same effect as written acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
